Dear Friends,

The promise of hope that accompanies spring is a promise embraced everyday by the women and girls of Girls Incorporated. With that promise is the inspiration for all girls to blossom into women who are strong, smart and bold.

Our programs help girls who every day face challenges and are “at-risk” in their communities and family lives.  In 2007 Girls Inc. branched out to touch the lives of more that 800 girls and their families in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey areas. Now more than ever, we meet girls who feel pressured from all angles.  For many of these young women, Girls Inc. has become their shelter.  Like the renaissance that accompanies spring, these girls are now “at-promise”

This year we honor three women who are strong, smart, and bold – in their own right:  Pamela Browner-Crawley - Senior Vice President and Director of Public Affairs for Citizens Bank, Marciene Mattleman - President of After School Activities Partnership, and Nilda Ruiz - President and CEO of Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha, Inc. Possibly without knowing it, these women embody the vision and mission of Girls Incorporated and have created their own legacy with girls in our communities.  We are proud to recognize them and salute them as strong, smart, and bold women. 

The promise to provide a future where our strong, smart, and bold girls of today can bloom into women of tomorrow is rooted in your support.  Whether that generosity is in time, resources or donations, it is a promise and commitment to the bright future of our girls today.  The contribution you make to Girls Incorporated will be repaid bountifully.
